Laurel Bank Farm Two
Clifton
West Yorkshire
2024- Submitted For Full Planning Permission
Laurel Bank Farm is situated in the Wharfedale Valley (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) North Yorkshire. The property sits in a 1.48 acre plot and is surrounded by rolling farmland and heather moorlands.
Laurel Bank Farm is no longer a working farm and has been sold to our client who is currently renovating the main barn after we secured Full Planning Permission for him in 2023.
Next to the main barn sits an agrigultural shed that once stored plant and machinery used by the farm. The client has now asked us to work up a scheme to renovate this old shed into a new family home.
The shed is a large gable ended structure with a lean-to. We propose to retain the gable ended structure and demolish the lean-to section. The new house will sit on the existing footprint of the gable ended element. The concrete slab under the existing lean-to will be broken up and turned into a new garden for the house.
The new house will be constructed from black metal sheeting and stone. It will be an upside down house with the living room and kitchen area located on the first floor to take advantage of the views of Whafedale Valley. The bedrooms will be located on the ground floor with access into the new garden and landscape.
